I have a 160litre tank, and I have;
3 Swordtails
2 Scisortails
1 Rasbora
1 RTS
1 clown plec
2 angels
and 2 spotted Loaches

Im a little worried my loaches are circling each other and have been scrapping constantly for at least the last 20minutes, is this normal, should I try to split them up (which would be rather difficult in my tank)
I did a water change earlier as the nitrite was a little higher.

Any ideas on what to do?

i think some loaches will bicker, but i hear that if you have plenty of caves and hiding places for them to retaliate too it should shettle down :/

thanks for the fast reply, i thought i had heard that about them, but they have been fine up until now,
they seemed to have settled down a little, i'll just keep an eye on them,
thank you

They're most likely fighting over dominance for either food or shelter. You need to be careful that one doesn't completely dominate the other, or it will likely result in death. This why it's recommended to keep loaches in groups.

hmmm

just rearrange all the tank, make it completely different :)

Plenty of good ideas there, rearanging the tank normally works well.

the one rasbora needs a shoal for it to feel comfortable.
