Schottayb's Juwel Trigon 190

Didn't look so bad on my iPhone, after uploading and seeing the bigger scale it's shocking!!
Try late evening - just before lights off is the best time for me, around half 9 ish.

x2 Angel Fish
x2 Bolivan Ram
x2 Keyholes
x8 Cardinal Tetra
x8 Harlequin
x1 Bristlenose
x8 Ammano Shrimp
Did you mean cardinals or rummy noses?

Tank looks so full, I've never had a fully stocked tank, normaly never even half stocked!
I know that feeling well. It's literally been several years since I've been even close to fully stocked... I've forgotten what it's like!

Try a 270 litre tank with 3 fish... Now that is under stocked!

And yes i think he did mean Rummy noses, he's a bit simple you see... :fun:

Depends how big they are... worse I've done is 8 rummy noses in my tank. It was lonely...

And I wasn't gonna say owt, but... ;)

My three are my pair of Jade Eyeds and an Angel. They must think they're in the wild! haha.

Oh I've done a pair of angels and a pair of hoplos too. They probably had the same thought! I quite enjoyed having the bigger fish - definitely want to do it again: similar to this, several pairs and couple of shoals but thinking congos and denisoni barbs, just with a 5-6ft instead of a 4ft. There's a 5'x2'x20" near me...its tempting, but I've nowhere to put it, esp now the garage has suddenly got very full of motorbike!

the problem with the Trigon is that it looks fully stocked, even when it's not. The Trigon is a good tank to actually have top, middle and bottom dwellers, and see the difference, as the tank is so tall.

Thats why I was worried I thought it might be overstocked, but I doubt it :p. Need something for the bottom would love Corys but just don't have the setup. Don't fancy changing to sand or making a corner sand tbh

Is it smooth gravel or sharp? I have had cory's on smooth gravel before with no damage done to their barbels or mouths.

I'd say smooth(ish). It's fine gravel so it's quite small peices.

Just done my weekly w/c... will try get pics up tonight :good:

Looking forward to the new pics, love how this tank is progressing :good:

I would try a group of Albino Cory's or Panda's or Metae (usually a bit cheaper) should really stand out in your tank. As long as it is not course sharp gravel they should be fine! :)

I'll have a go with a group of Albino Corys, number wise 6 minimum? Gravel isn't sharp (I don't think anyway), the Rams are always picking it up and spitting it out .

How would I know if there was a problem? Would you see there lips cut etc?

Some updated pictures of the tank for you all. And I could not resist posting a picture of my baby Bristlenose  !!
