Thank's a lot, Wilder. I really appreciate your help (other than the fact that the article almost succeeded in scaring the hell out of me -_- ).

At this point, I really do hope it's just the scar from a scrape because the wound just doesn't quite match the descriptions in the article. I haven't seen any heavy breathing, plus the fish is pretty much acting normal. Though that's not hard to do. With the light on he generally just hangs around in a corner the whole time. However, when I was trying to take pictures I turned the light out and he started prowling around.

In any event, I'll keep an eye on the situation and let you know if anything happens.

Merry Christmas!

It is a scary article but fish tend to get it alot, i didn't think it was just rule something out, as it comes in many forms, good luck if anything changes get back to the board.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped me out here, Black Angel, bloozoo2 and especially Wilder.

:D :D

It looks like I got lucky and they were wounds because the marks are pretty much disappearing. I also took Black Angel's advice and sanded down some rough edges that I found on the pottery log I have in the tank.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!

Glad to hear things are improving - always nice to hear some progress and especially a good ending
