Scarlet Hawkfish Gone Barmey

If there was something wrong with my tank my puffer would stop eating so there is nothing wrong with my tank it was the fish so I am not going to have another hawkfish because of this reason and also if there was somthing wrong my anemone would die my corals would die and my fish would starve guess it's just one of those things sigh

Not necessarily, especially as you said the hawkfish was eating fine and was healthy in the LFS for 2 months. That leads me to think it was the move to your tank that caused the death. Whether that was stress, water conditions (your other stock could be just used to it, but the new arrival could have been shocked), or disease needs to be discovered to prevent repeats.

Why don't you test the various tank water parameters and see what you get? It would be the first thing I do if I lost any livestock. Then, if parameters are normal you can rule that out and move onto other possible causes such as stress, disease etc. :)

What I don't understand is why the puffers alright I bought them at the same time and acclimatised them the same tested the salt same in tank ph same in tank and so on so I have no reason why it would die so I guess it died in stress from transport it must have been it's time it like this some people can keep flame angels some can't so I guess I can't keep hawkfish

What other fishies are in there now dodge as well as the valentini...could it have got stressed or annoyed by the hawk and released body toxins, quite common with puffers...if other fishies are fine then this can be ruled out...

Just tested nitrate a bit more high than usual haven't done water change for 3 weeks it's 20 ppm it's not that bad so nothings of the unusual so it was bad specimin oh well

No it wasn't that buddyboy67 he might have jumped but unlikely maybe got eaten by anemone because used to perch in it because there was no prescence of him in there when I looked
