i have a tank half filled with shrimp and an air filter and there is a lot of scale building up around the edge and mainly around the filter.

the shrimp will be going back into the main tank next week.

i was just wondering the best way to remove it without scracthing the glass or damaging the silicone

thanks

If you're not going to be using the tank for a while pouring some of the limescale remover you can get for kettles etc into the tank clear it?

i plan on using the tank tommorow

would bleach do it?

thanks

You don't want to use bleach if you're using the tank tomorrow. After using bleach, you'll want to let it air out for a few days before using again.

I'm not sure about how to get it off the silicon except for good ol' elbow grease but you can take a razor blade to the glass. Keep it level and you won't scratch it.
