Say Hello To Ali

Ali :hi:

It would help if we knew a little more about your system and your plans for it. CUC won't do any harm but any additions you add later could eat them.

Better still, start a nice new thread, tell us your hardware and whether you are going fowlr, fish only or full reef and we can give you a hand there.

ive currently got a betta life space 1000 with sump and around 40kg of live rock, 1200 instant ocean skimmer and few wave makers. the tanks been set up for around 3 months and its a full reef tank set up.

to be honest ive not really added any fish to my set up yet as im looking to fill it up with corals then purchase the fish as this wil give my tank plenty of time to become very mature with this in mind im open to suggestions on which fish's and inverts are best to buy

Really we cannot stock your tank for you. We can give you guidance as to what will be compatible together. You have a fair amount of choice in that tank.

Have a look on Live Aquaria, they have a good selection of most commonly available fish and some rarer ones in the collectors corner and Diver Den. There estimates for tank size are pretty good and they have a compatibility chart.

Come back and give us an idea of what fish YOU like, we can help you from there.

Are you going for mixed reef, LPS, SPS or LPS and SPS etc.

thank you for your response, im currently have several types of soft corals and sps and lps corals i will have a look at live aquaria and i will get back to you asap

You need to look for Reef Safe fish then, some reef caution may be able to be added depending why they need caution. Some will eat small shimps and snails, as you don't have these yet, we can plan your CUC around that.

Are you also from leicester like youngfisher ali? if so then i suggest you visit Clearwater aquatics on Green Lane Road, they are quite a decent marine fish store with a lot of variety of both fish and corals and the staff seem to know what they are talking about. You can have a look at the fish you like and then research into them as to wether they will be compatible with your set-up or not, the same goes for corals. Hope that helps abit mate :)
