Saving Money

its for a product i am trying to create to sell. And there is an issue for the amount of time that it is in the store. Preferably, i would like the shop owner not to have to clean and feed it, etc, at least i would like to minimise it.
Mind if I inquire what the product is?

I hope not, because here I go inquiring:

So, what's the product you're developing?

Hey guys, i am quite new to the whole fish thing, and want to know, are there any fish that do not need to be fed.

I would also appreciate a list of low maintenance fish, where you feed them minimally, or do not require water changes, etc.

Simply answer is a dead fish, that will not require any food at all, nor a water change

They do have plastic fish things... or bubble walls.
They do look cool and have lots of the same soothing aspects of a tank...
If that is the part that some one wants out of a tank.. then why not?
They sell Ocean sounds on CDs for good money.

If one is into it for the pet part... yes maintenance is to be expected like any pet.
If one is into the hobby part... well it is a hobby I would hope one would commit to, because Unlike RC toys, doll houses, card collecting ...ect.. you can't ethically put it down when you are bored of it.

have you ever seen those small plastic things probally 5 inch cubes with a little gravel and maybe a platic plant, have white clouds in them and african dwarf frogs?

think these are what he's talking about iv'e seen them in canada at the bay (which sells mostly clotheing) and in a smaller petstore you just buy the little thing for like 20$ and they don't come with nothin

No.
Well, you could set up a beautiful tank with silk plants and take plastic fish, tie them to a piece of fishing line, tie a small weight to the bottom....and you will have a fully functional tank with no feeding, and no cleaning....well you may want to dust the top off every now and then. :D

LOL doubt gut will be back :)

I was going to say it is posible to do a full biotope where you dont have to "feed" the fish... and with the right plumbing the maintnece could be as low as scraping the front glass... but these kind of tanks are usually not what we find in a store front...
The all natural tank with lots of worms and mud and bugs and lots of light for algea blooms... is cool IMO. Still it is not maintnece free.

Hey guys, i am quite new to the whole fish thing, and want to know, are there any fish that do not need to be fed. As in, do they eat algae, or roots of plants?

Algae eaters eat algae, but how can you manage to grow only that type of algae(s) that fish eats? And plants? Well, L163, but it will be very expensive to buy couple new Echinodorus every week B) If you want to save money, you don't want to buy a fish like that...

I would also appreciate a list of low maintenance fish, where you feed them minimally, or do not require water changes, etc.

None. If you can't do water changes regularly, don't buy aquarium.

Mabye you could try a pet rock? I don't think those need much maintenance.

:D  okay heres a perfect pet for you get a small nice aquarium and grow a plant in it :kana:

its not a product, im simply asking out of interest.

And iloveyou, in response to your criticism:

I hardly think that you're in any position to tell me whether i should or should not be allowed to post questions in this forum. I started this forum so that i could learn-not to be abused. Its clear that you have a very egocentric and selfish view and simply assume that people wont react to your out of line and ill informed comments. Since you have no constructive help to offer me, i'd please ask that you stop posting comments in my forum.

Sorry if i sound like a jerk, it just happens sometimes :)

Hmm I do have one fish that you don't have to feed(but has to be in an esablished tank)...
the common pleco. no very interesting and still requires water changes.
