sorry to be nosy but which petshop are these coming from? I can guess but would like to know. If it is the one Im thinking, then thinking of putting my own compliant in and would like to follow procedure.

p.s. also in relation to out back tanks, have asked on this before and again if one I am thinking of then no, that is all their tanks on display apparently. I wanted a special order at one point and they said only if a spare tank otherwise would have to collect them in the bag. Believe this is standard.

I would deffinately report them, the poor thing how is he?

I agree that if they cannot house the bettas properly then they shouldn't have ordered so many!

Yep that confirmed it to me. The shop in general houses them in with unsuitable fish, or in breeder traps when they look almost dead. There have been tanks of dead fish in there at times, flooded floors and very abusive staff (once heard profanities at the other end of the phone from another member of staff when rang in to enquire). So generally they are appaulling in the tropical fish section, their marine section does much better but then the fish are more expensive and get snapped up quicker. After seeing this betta (worst I have seen also, others I have seen have just lost the will to live) will make an official complaint.

so RSPCA. Trading Standards? I know there are specific sections (work in legal side of things) but wondered if anyone knows the area I may need?

Im a regular customer in there so I dont want them knowing it was me... So is there anyway that I can report them without them finding out it was me...

He getting better, just taking his time... Slowly growing his fins back I believe...

Just tell the RSPCA you wish to remain annonimouse and they won't tell them it was you, they'll just send an inspecter round but make sure you get evidence like pictures and stuff.

thats no way to talk to someone... the word crap or bloody isnt nice but its not as bad as what you have said they told you... What made them say it is what I want to know !!!

I really dont know, little bit stunned at the time and the guy who I was actually talking to on the phone was stuttering abit, so pretty much let it go. Rudeness to myself I really dont like but *sticks and stones* the state of the fish however is absolutely appauling and really needs to be improved. Hopefully enough people will complain and it will have to improve. I dont want it to shut down as it is one of the only main locals in the area and is good for very good quality cheap equipment. The attitude just needs to change and the conditions. There are some very nice people there that do give excellent advice unlike some of the other LFS, it is just a shame there are a couple of bad seeds and it is run as such.

Yes not to close down but just to get better... There is always some rude or selfish people that have to ruin a good shop
