Sap - Snails

Right then, I have a SAP in a tank with small gravel as a substrate. I have released some MTS snails into the tank, but i cant see them. How will the fish find them or am i missing something?

Any comments would be great!1

SAP is a new one on me. What is it? I even did a Google but the top 50 hits for SAP were to computer applications.

MTS spend lots of time burrowing and foraging in the gravel. They are a good snail in that aspect as they'll help keep things a little cleaner by eating missed food, etc.

The SAP will find them, as the MTS snails will come out at night.

Allegedly, but I've never had problems feeding MTS snails.

My old T Turgidus used to have no problems dealing with MTs. Id still have a massive quantity of other snails on the go to help though.

Whilst very young the MTS have relatively soft shells but once they start to grow their shells became incrediably tough. Experiences have taught many that they are too tough for puffers and have been known to damage their teeth.
Common pond snails or Ramshorns are the best snail to feed a puffer. They can be crushed easily by a puffer.

You try crushing a MTS, its extremely difficult without pliers.
