UPDATE! i got sand today (while i was taking my fish out one was crushed by a peice of slate!!! he was injured and later jumped!) my tank looks great! i had to wash the sand about 47 time (counted) oh... and we had a small, big, huge!!!! spill... oops.... the bad things keep coming! i also had a need fire! i put my light on my cabnet and it was on and it bured a spot on it... i smelled buring so i got it on time!!!

Sounds like you had quite an experience dragonfish. Hope everything is ok.

Anyways does anyone k now if its true that you're not supposed to keep the same sand in a tank for longer than 3 years? I believe I heard someone mention that on this forum before, although I don't recall where. Sounds like a pain if its true.
