Sand

In a week or so im changing tank and want to change to sand at the same time. ive read the post from a couple of years ago about changing over etc and the best types of sand, but can anyone who lives in the UK recommend where i can get some thats fairly cheap? im after a white sand preferably rather than a natural sandy coloured sand (its so difficult to explain what colour sand is, its just sandy! )
any suggestions welcome

i recently bought some white sand from maiden head aquatics other than that try DIY stores-you can use playsand

I am moving house soon and plan to use argos playsand, as long as it is washed through in good order then there should be no problems.

Incidentally I need to calculate how much I need anyone any ideas? I have a Juwel Trigon 350.

that was going to be my next question! i have no idea how much i'll need the tank will be 3ft by 1ft

as said i need 45kg for a 4ftx 15 inch tank.

hows the new sand looking? got some pictures i can have a look at? hope it all went well!

Sand is nice but gets really dirty really quick if you have high waste fish. I also wouldnt use Argos sand ever again, id spend the money on some proper aquatic sand.

i hyavent done it yet. i decide to give me galaxy rasbora tank a good sorting out (platns were messy and all over the place. i bought some black sand for them and am really liking the colour (makes me want it in the cichlid tank/the one im using playsand in)

im just finishing these of and i will finish making a few things for the other tank and will start

has/is a busy day for me today

Hi Just been at Argos today and got 15kg for £2.49 Don't think you will get any cheaper than that.
