i bought it in bits without the hose as i had a pipe long enough
I also had a carbon fishing rod that was old but the correct size when cut down to fit in my hose and the other end tapers to a bore about twice as wide as poop this way i can hover all the pop up without taking out to much water
i have just tried it and it works brilliant so now i can hover 3 times a week with very little fuss to my fish
I have sand in all 4 of my tanks and I vac the largest one every other day(it needs it with my plecs!) I have to be careful not to suck the sand up too. So I found(well read on here) it's best to sort of get a swirling motion going so it moves the debris a little, so it's slightly above the sand then it sucks the debris up and not loads of sand, I do the same when I'm doing a water change with my syphon. Hope that all made sense
not really lol
im going the garden centre ,i might get a eel today and the sand ill prob forget and get lots of nice stones, will the RTBS or alibno shark be terrwatorial with a eel,and can eels be kept alone.OO and will it be safe with a shrimp.
