Sand Or No Sand

The fish in your profile picture is the same as the one you own if it is the same as the one I linked to.

How big is yours?

Its tiny its about the size of a thumb and the one in my profile pic is a common plec and the one I have has spots and is black instead of green

The store had said it was common but if you say its that then ill go by your word but yeah mine is black with brown spots looks like a butterfly hence highfin butterfly pleco

Matter fact now that I think of it it looks just like a monarch butterfly

Gibbiceps are fairly common, they are one of the commercially farmed Plecos.

I have seen them sold under the 'common' moniker

I don't know if I should believe my LFS anymore there so full of crap

You said it ;)

Lol yeah what pleco is pretty good to have in my 20 gallon for now after I let my beautiful pleco go

Bristlenose is easy to find and relatively inexpensive.

Depends what you want to spend and also what it's tank mates are as well.

Well 8 black neon tetras 6 corys and a betta thast pretty much it

Easy answer is a bristlenose.

Will be happy in the 20 for life and is a solid little fish.

If you want to get fancy and source something more exotic and spend some more cash then we can give other options.

Yeah I was reading into the zebra Pleco looked really nice and it only grow 4-6 in I wanted to know where I can get one

Breeder is the best bet, however they are expensive, budget a hundred pounds/dollars

They are not a fish for the inexperienced keeper though

Oh okay well are there any bristlenose that I could take a look at
