Sand Or Gravel Advice Please

If you want sand buy playsand its a heck of a lot cheaper from argos etc than it is from the Local fish shop and so long as it is play sand it has all toxins removed. Many on here including myself use playsand. Not everything from fish shops are necessarily any better for your fish, but its always better for their tills.

Same, i've given away most of my tank and im just left with a coldwater and a tropical now, as all my time was spent on the tanks, i coulfn't really be haffed off to do anything about pleasing myself on the look, now that i have two, im changing them over to sand.. after Xmas when i get the xmas money

Well, i spent 7 hours yesterday changing my gravel to sand. It was soooo worth it. Looks so much better and is just fantastic. I wish i had started off with sand as it was such a hassle yesterday.

My first tank I was going with gravel even had it in the Tank then changed my mind and went to sand


and dam pleased I did it looks a whole lot better
