They sell connecter pieces that allow you to connect more than one hose to your pump.
As for not having a filter in your tank, it's not entirely necessary. It's not as if the filter cleans everything anyway, obviously since you still have to do water changes. My fish all have filters except for one of my male bettas, he just hated any current (his fins are heavy, but not excessive, I think he's just lazy). So he's in a five gallon with no filter, I just stay on top of water changes and he's a very happy little guy.
