Sand For Your Tank

I have heard it is way to fine, and anything in your tank that moves near the bottom will kick it up and make a mess.

go to toysrus and pick up a bag of playsand 25kg, about 1 bag per 150 litres

Yep good ol playsand, argos, tesco, toysrus, garden centres all sell it cheaply and it works well.

well i bought this sand it seems ok tanks been set for 3 days now with it in but theres little black bits in the sand that float about when u knock the sand is this ok or u think it was a bad buy getting the B&Q play sand ? and my tank still seems a little cloudy even though i washed it it till it ran clear like 3x


Hope i dont have 2 start again and buy some new sand

Use your net to scoop out the black bits that float, it should be fine.

run some filter floss in your filters, unless you have a juwel, in which case its already there, but add a bit more to make the process quicker
