So I'am trying to find a way to clean the sand in the tank. Since it is small i cannot use the vacuum thingie.. any ideas.. or is sand not good? I also have a live plant so it needs something.

you could run a net through the top layer to get the muck off and then top it up with more sand. or do the syphon thing just add water as you go :)

is there an actual syphon small enough for this 2gallon? i tried my mid-size syphon it's too big hehe.

I use a syphone for my 4g i use for my 30g but I took off the big tube it had on and just have the rubber hose cus it made it easier to suck up every thing, and then just take the sand I sucked up wash the dirt out and put it back in the tank, saves me money and it's clean

In a tank that small a (new)turkey baster would do the job.
I use one for syphoning my betta tanks in between regular cleaning

I shall give that a try thanks all.

You could try using airline tubing as a siphon tube. I've used that when I've had fry, it sucks very slowly because of the tube width, very time consuming, but with a 2 gallon it shouldn't be too bad.
