Sand And Water Changes

I just load a 5 gallon bucket with dechlorinator and use a small half gallon sized co ntainer to bail the water back in. I only have to bail the first half or so then I can pour straight from the bucket over my hand to diffuse the current. It's takes a bit more time but it's worth it.

I have a two litre jug and fill that from the clean bucket. I place the the jug in the tank water so it is below surface and then gently tip it.

When I refill I float a large plastic bowl and pour the water into the bowl from the bucket. When the bowl fills and water spills over the edges it never has kicked up any sand.

I just pop a cereal bowl in somewhere and aim for it. Hope my dishwasher is working properly j/k fish-dedicated cereal bowl.
