Salvinia... grows!

Hey guys!

I have been recommending people getting Salvinia as a nice floating plant. But now I have photos to back that up!

As you can see here, they have grown in with some nice long roots:

And here is a top view of all of it:

My betta really likes going up and resting near then. He also likes swimming in between the roots. Sort of like an little swim course, lol.

He's doing awesome! He's very active, he's eating everything I give to him, and his color change left him dark and gorgeous! He'll be getting a tank reno soon, where I'm hoping to introduce some salvinia...

One of the advantages of having a UGF is I do not have to worry about that. I did have a small pond snail go down the air left tubes and disappear under the gravel plates. He came back a week or two later much bigger but went back under since he was too big to get out through the fish guards. I am waiting for him to return as a monster pond snail one of these days.

You should look up some of the videos. The snail is literally the size of a kitten!
