Salvini Tank Mates

well after re organising my tanks im now looking for some possible tank mates for my salvini

he is in a 160Litre tank (100x40x40)

was thinking of rainbow cichlids ormaybe a convict, any other suggestions appreciated

I wouldn't add any other cichlids tbh, a rainbow is too peaceful to go with a Salvini and with something like a Con and a Salvini you will have one fish getting attacked

IMPO your already in need of a bigger tank.

I would think that tank would make a home for a single specimin, though as Dav086 said I wouldn't add a con or rainbow.

The only other tankmates I would think people would suggest would be dither fish, however I wouldn't personally use them as they would most likely be killed by a salvini.

EDIT: Dither fish are small barb/danio/tetra fish that school and act as a distraction to the 'main' cichlid. Examples could be tiger barb, giant danio, Buenos Aires tetra, fish that are fast and cheap. But like I said, with a salvini they would most likely be picked off.
