Saltwater Tank Lighting

Hello,
My wife has been keeping a 55 gal saltwater tank now for 12 years. We started small and now are at the 55 gal stage. We have seen a lot of events take place - most of which could be handled - except for the ongoing failure (and one fire, complete with flames and fire department response) due to the tank light unit. The florescent light unit is not sealed and the saltwater evaporation (over time) creates a very unsafe condition with the electrical connections. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes reliable and safe lighting for saltwater tank use?

I use an overhead metal halide light unit on mine 'AquaMedic OceanLight 150'. Google for it. They are expensive but very high output. Have you posted this in the saltwater hardware forum? You will probably get more detailed answers from there.
