I read and couldnt find info on how much salt to add to a fresh water tank
How much should i add per say about 20 L of water
Any info please?

+1

ZERO. Salt can be used during treatment for some illnesses (ich, for example) but in general, there should be no salt on a regular basis. Depending on the fish you keep salt could be the WORST thing you could add to your tank (cories, for example).

It has its place in an aquarist's cupboard... just not all the time. The only thing that you need to add on a regular basis to your tank is fresh dechlorinated warmed water (and food!). Other than that, there isn't a need for other stuff, generally. (There are exceptions to that though - depending on your fish and your water.)

lol, apart from me using cold water for changes, spot on

honestly OP, my guess is if fish needed salt in the water, they would live in Brackish or Marine environments.

Aquarium salt = "Fishkeeping Snake Oil!" money for the LFS nad no benefit to your fish.

guess thats true, glad i did ask the question

lol, great attitude there :good:.

now you may not like the answer, sometimes. but you will never know, until you ask. the starting point, always, for gaining knowledge, is to ask a question.

As stated salt can be an amazing treatment for many illnesses and even overall stress before a specific illness is apparent.

You didn't waste money buying it, keep it around in case something happens then use it. It should be in every aquarists aquarium stand, just not added all the time.

don't buy Aquarium sale either for medication. most table salts are fine, despite the scare story's you read, put about by LFS and the less well informed.

ill remember that,so many new thing i learned the last 2 months, but atleast i know why my fish had all died years ago,but im much better now then before so yay for me :D leaning somethin new every day, next stop is filters, too scared to begin :X

Aww, Marius! What's scaring you about filters?! They're not scary (as long as you remember to turn them off before you take them out of the water  ).

lol, scary? well only because there are so many different types. and everyone you speak to says theirs is the best, if not only, way to do it.

first off, think money. the amount you have to spend, often, dictates the filters you buy. within reason, you should spend as much as you can.

couple of things though:

internals are very good filters, but not really suited to tanks over 40 or so gallons. or tanks with high stocking. same goes for HOB.
cannisters, however, are fine for all sizes of tank. but a good bit more pricey. and you need to decide how you will use the filter too. differing media dictate required flow
Bubble air filters still have their place, its just not, generally, in Tropical Community tanks.

done with that, so. what do you want to know about filters? try to ask only a couple of questions, each time, this will stop the, number of, answers getting too confusing.

First of all,okey--- i have a 60L tank, but too crowded,so im switching to new 120 L tank,i did read everything about moving fish to new tanks,, But with a tank this size,i need a good system, the only filters i now are the ones in the corner, those plastic ones... So lets begin at bottem,, what do you preffer, which ones works best for u? i had done some research but do not trust petshops anymore,, the one in the pic they said it works grate----

So question 1--- this pic, are they good? Like i said,i know nothing about filters

Question 2--- Isnt there a type of filter that cleans under the gravel?
I know about the underground filter type of thing, but then
all the waste just lay at the bottem
