Salt Question

I have a 25 gallon tank with 6 mollies, 2 swords and 5 danios. I've been reading that the mollies really prefer salt and need to know if the danios will be able to tolorate the added salt? I suppose I can always rehome the danios if need be but I really like having them.

Depends on the species of molly some appreciate a little salt and some find it toxic.

The likley hood of them been brought up/raised in salt water is slim nowadays, i personally wouldnt add any... no point if they are living happily already

They are dalmaiton mollies. They were bred at the local fish store in a brackish tank but were moved into a fresh tank a few days ago.
I went ahead and added a tablesoon of salt, I have a couple danios that are not looking well and I though maybe the salt will help some.
