Is it ok to use the heat/salt treatment method for white spot with Shrimps in the tank?

I don't really keep shrimp or know much about them. I would suggest moving the sick fish to a sick tank for treatment anyway.

Depends on the fish and shrimp, some would love it, some would be dead.

The fish being treated are zebra danios and the shrimps are river shrimps - about an inch long at the mo.

I didnt consider removing the danios - i may pursue that line of action.

I would, puts less stress on the main tank.

Only thing is, with it being a danio, wouldn't he get lonley in the Q tank?!? Given they are schooling fish?

The danios and shrimp should handle the high temp as long as you don't raise it too quickly, a degree or 2 a day, till you get to 86f

Zebras and river shrimp are very resilliant. I have dumped river shrimp into an sg of 1.005 and ph 1 whole point above what was supposedly correct, and they have lived.

Well he said the fish being treated "Are Zebra danios" Not "Is a Zebra Danio"


Giving me the impression there was more than one fish.
