about the freshwater flounder topic in oddballs that disappeared, did it get deleted or moved? there were a couple of really good posts regarding salt tolerance in that thread; could those posts be restored please? :) i completely sympathize with why the remainder was removed, so i'm not going to complain if the good parts are irrecoverable.

Was wondering the same thing. Neale had some really good information in that thread. Also, I can understand why it was removed if that was the case. :good:

Indeed, the numpty got pwned, the question was answered, other questions were answered.... And it was a fun thread.

I agree, there were some very good posts in the thread. Would be a shame to lose them (particularly after the research I did into the glycoproteins that make up a fish's slime coat). Often seems because one person is an idiot, you lose a lot of good posts. Bath water and baby come to mind...

I'll try to work on that topic, edit out the nonsense, and re-post it. It was a very good topic, and the use of salt is the sort of topic I could see being discussed in our planned scientific section.

I had bookmarked that thread, and was wondering what had happened to it.
Literally one of the best threads I have ever read, will be better with some of that rubbish gone - though it did add humour :good:.

Tolak, I didn't see the thread in it's original incarnation (I think that may have been a good thing), but I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to edit it and put it back. I know that you didn't have to do it, but it is mods like you that keep this forum absolutely one of the best on the Internet. So, Thank You.

 You're welcome! All I did was a little cut, copy, & paste work, other members did the serious research. I feel it would be a shame to let that go to waste due to the antics of a single screwball.
