Sally Light Foot Crab Dead And Babies Found

I have (had) 2 sally light foot crabs and 3 emerald crabs in my reef tank. Today I noticed 1 sally light foot dead and in pieces but also a couple of very small crabs are found that resemble a sally light foot. Could the sally light foots have bred? Would a female kill the male when babies are born?

Are you sure it's dead not just shed?

If I remember rightly crabs go through a larval stage

I think it is highly unlikely the small crabs were baby sally lightfoots

The crab remains look to still have color (meat) material the the leg sections instead of almost clear like usual exoskelton would be. The (baby) resembles the body perportions of a sally light, what else could it be?
