Sailfin Pleco Losing Scales

Hello Everyone, My Sailfin Pleco has been rather sluggish lately and appears to have lost some scales. Does anyone know what the problem could be. We bought the Plec about 6 months ago and is about 2 inches long now. Thanks for looking

KH 40
pH 6.5
NO2 0
NO3 0
Tank size 4ft by 1 ft by 1ft 6 inches
Tank mates are 2 kissing gouramis,4 barbs, 5 platys, 2 guppys and he his been with all these fish for a while and everything has been ok till just lately. He hasnt been pooing much lately,and seems to be eating through maybe not has much
