Not to sure where to post this. This really got to me, just to let you know. Today, to lower my nitrates, I went out and bought a couple of plants at my LFS (petco) down in golden, CO. I was lookin in the tanks, mostly to buy a plant, and I went over to the tropicals. Im not sure what kind of fish this was, but It had a huge gash on it's side that was very red aand sore looking. They were still selling him, though, No stickers on the tank or anything, to tell you they weren't, also there were the usual, dead fish, or dying crammed up under rocks, and another tank of tiger barbs all had fin rot.... well, whatever, people really should tkae care of pets if they sell them. I t reminds me of the mollie I got from the a few months ago, who died within a week, they said she was fine but her stomach was all drawn in and so her head looked huge... well, she died...but my platies are still fine.....

That's very sad how LFSs don't take care of their stock. Don't they realise that people will see this and probably not want to buy fish from them?

FYI...if the plants you bought from the store also had fishes in the same tank, I would quarantine the plant. Ich is a parasite that requires a living host, which are fish, snails, or even plants.
