Sad Day

I've had tanks around for so long that I don't know what to do without one. I'm even going to miss the maintenance. That's ok though, as soon as we are able, I'll have another tank. This gives me a fresh start, allowing me to keep a species that I have always wanted to keep, but never had the room for.

I am very sorry to hear about this misfortune! My dad was laid off a while back, and it was rough! Thankfully he is back now and things have turned around! This economy sucks right now, it really does, but you need to hang in there! It will get better!

On a side note, take this time to think about what you are going to do next with your fish hobby. Who knows, maybe this unfortunate event will strengthen your hobby? Keep your head up, focus on your priorities, and it should come around all in due time!

Once again I am very sorry to hear about this, drobbyd, you had a really nice tank! But I bet when you get your next tank, that it will be way better than your last!

I wish the best for you!

Awww... thats a real shame... you're tank was real nice too! Evil credit crunch  ! Hopefully you will be able to get another tank in the near future and, as you said keep the new species you mentioned. As Ianho said, what are they gonna do to the place? Maybe they are worried about spillages, but its just water! They should be more worried about tea being spilt than some water which will just evaporate, when tea leaves a stain! Just hang in there Robby and hang on to the hobby - dont let this awful time ruin it for you ;)

Good Luck :good: and hang in there  things will improve, just depends how quickly ;)

Sorry to hear about this Robby, you've given me some great advice and I hate to hear about something like this.

I can only have my one 12 gallon tank, but would like a bigger tank, having been out of work for 6 months now, I can't afford that new tank. I think the economy will pick up and things will look better for us all.
Good luck

Well this is really unlucky - two layoffs at once is terrible! Let's hope that somehow the southeast economy turns around some and offers some new opportunities!

I hope TFF will be a way for you to feel still involved in the hobby and that you can get pleasure interacting with other hobbyists and continue planning your "comeback" tank!

Aww, thanks all :) I am already planning my next tank, but a smaller one this time. I was thinking a 30 gallon with a nice group of M. kamaka rainbowfish. They only get to 2 and a half inches so I will be able to fit 10 into that tank. Ive always wanted to keep them (well, since I discovered rainbows anyway) but never had the room. We shall see what the future holds.
