i bought a red honey gourami 3 weeks ago, and i have it in a ten gallon with other small fish, it was fine for the first week, when i came back from college 2 weeks later (my sister feeds the fish while im gone), the honey way resting on the gravel in the front and i noticed it had problems swimming, and a slight curve of its spine. today it was stuck to the filter intake and i thought for sure it was dead but when i turned the filter off it kind of drifted away, but it was still alive. This time i notices a definite 's' shape when i looked from above. She isnt showing any signs of skin lesions that are characteristic of tuberculosis, could this just be a vitamin deficiency? she has blueish markings, that were there when i bought her, that seem like they might have been injected/ caused with food, because its not in the natural spot where honeys would develop a dark patch. Im not sure what to do, if it is tb i need to get her out of there as soon as possible because i have a lot of other fish in the tank that i wouldnt want to fall prey.

How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Bent spine can be old age, fish tb, internal parasites, bacterial, injury, vitamin deficiency.

Does the fish look bloated or thin.
What does it look like when the fish goes to the toilet.
is the tummy area sunken in,.
Is the fish anus enlarged, or red and inflamed.
Does the fish swim on it's side.

i have 3 sparkling gouramis, 2 honey gouramis (one of which has the bent spine), 2 go obo gudgeons, and one bamboo shrimp.
she seems to have a sunken stomach, very thin, she lays on her side but does not swim on her side, i have not seen her eat or defecate. anus looks normal. havent taken water chemistry levels yet, but i have all ready performed 45% water change

Hard to pin point it without the fish going to the toilet.

Can you isolate the sick fish. And use antibiotics. Only to be used in isolation.

Going to leave a tb link for you, so you know what to look out for.

Try soaking the fish food in garlic as it meant to stimulate appetite, and boost the fish immune system.

thanks for the resource, the honey has died but ill keep an eye on its tankmates

Poor thing.
R.I.P.
