Ok, so I decided to examine my nets today, I usually keep them in a small little bowl of dechlorinated water so they are clean and soft whenever I want to use them. Well I guess all of that exposure to water made the tiny bit of metal where the handle isn't covered with green plastic, down at the bottom where it stops spiraling, rust. Ick! I won't leave nets in water again! But is there any way at all to save my nets?

I was thinking maybe picking up some aquarium sealant and plopping it over the rusty spot.

Use a little steel wool to remove the rust. For the little bit of time the nets contact the water, the rust isn't going to hurt anything, but if it makes you feel better, remove it.
