Hi folks,

Just wondering if there are any keen runners, cyclists and swimmers in the group?

I have done a few triathlons but nothing in the past couple year since covid hit.

I am the founder of my own local running club which is on twice a week.

Would be cool to see folks photos of perhaps taking part in any events. I’ll start.

The first photo is a selfie whilst heading up onto my local hill “Benarty Hill” & the second is having just completed 17 mile over the mountains of Glencoe in the Highlands of Scotland. It was a very dreech (wet) day 😂

I am an avid runner of distances from 1/2 marathon to 100 miles. I can run a pretty fast 5k and 10k (for my age) but I don't have fun doing them so I rarely do.

This is pic is from January, at the finish of the Coldwater Rumble 100 mile endurance run in the Arizona desert (actually was 103.7 miles).

That’s amazing! I could never see myself running 100 miles. I’m in the ballot for London Marathon this year which will be held in October. Should find out if successful before the end of the month.

How did you find running in that heat? Must be torture.

That is awesome!! I would love to run London, I have heard that it is a very fun course. Best of luck to you!

The desert in the winter is surprisingly cool. It was cloudy and windy in the day with a high of just 65F (18.3C) and cold at night to 35F (1.7C). We really got lucky. I have done 100 mile races where the temps get over 100F (38C). At that point it's just pace management, hydration, and icing yourself.
