Hi all, I have 6 rummy nose tetras that have been in the tank for about 5 days. They started off swimming in a group and they still do sometimes but one of the tetras hides behind a plant or hangs in a corner at the top of the tank. Any ideas? Is he being bullied?

What are your water parameters? Did you cycle the tank? Are there any other tankmates? What size tank?

All parameters are fine and tank was cycled. Tank is 100 l and we only have the six rummy nose as our first lot of fish

By water parameters fine, do you meen 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrites, and 0 Nitrates?
What is the temperature of your tank?
Do you have a heater for it?
What about plants?

I'd hope nitrates aren't 0, unless very heavily planted. D: But exact numbers would be good to know.

Do you have a liquid test kit, OP?

I wish I could help you more, usually the rummies I've had that break off from the school and stay in the corner are getting ready to pass :/ I hope that is not the case for yours.

Ph 6.5 nitrite 0 and nitrates 20. I have a heater and plastic plants. He doesn't always hide in a corner. Quite often he hides behind the plant and when the other fish swim behind he makes his way to a corner he does come out to swim and times and comes out for food.
And temp 26

Sounds like you have test strips since there is no reading for ammonia? How did you cycle the tank btw?

I'm sorry I'm pretty much being useless atm, am really not sure why your rummy is acting that way :/

I have tested for ammonia too which is 0.25. I put in fish food every other day

Is it just the one? Do you have pictures of the fish in question? Does it pop out and wiggle a bit when the others come near?
