i recently bought a few rosy tetras from my LFS and the sign said that they were rosy tetra and i have no reason not to believe that that is what i have,

however i just wanted to make sure that some people don't call them something different and i'm sorry for not having a pic to show everyone what they look like but i've seen other pictures and they're not really what mine look like -_-

but they're slightly orangy and along their spines they have a slight blue shading they're a bit rounder than my neons and they kinda have a mouth that reminds me of a piranha

hoping some one can clarify it for me :)

thanking u in advance ~!*

thanks for ur replies,

but not unfortunately my fish dont' match the ones that u have suggested,

they don't have an markings on their fins

i guess i'm back to my own research for the time being :)

thanking u ~!*

I have asked the same question here before, The ones I brought looked nothing like the pictures.

The males look very different to the females, the females having the big blocks of white patch where as the males dont.

But if there is blue on your fish it doesnt sound like they are Rosey's

Your description sounds a lot like some tetras I just bought, minus the blue part. I thought mine looked exactly like mini pirahnas. They are von rio or flame tetras. Google either name and there's a lot of pictures. None of them look exactly like mine. Mine are somewhat clear with orange mostly on the bottom rear. Mabye that's the one you're looking for.

ahhh i've done the google search :) (thanks Elgonte) but no i don't think mine are rosy tetra's anymore

and i saw ur post ketyana, before i posted up mine :) and mine didn't look anything like the ones in that post

when i get a camera i'll take pictures and then some one can clear it up for me :)
but as it if i love my no name tetras, tonnes more interesting and active than the neons :)
