I have two Rosy barbs at the moment, and am pretty sure one is male and one is female.
One is much brighter in colour, with black at the tip of its fins, whilst the other is paler and has no black tips to the fins. I am assuming the first is the male, and the second the female, as the second is also a bit plumper.
So, assuming they're of the opposite sex, how long does it take for them to breed, and eggs to be laid? I read that they're prone to eating whatever eggs they find, so if the female did ever lay eggs, is it likely many would survive?
All information and help provided will be gratefully received.
