Ropey Amazon Swords

The swords are looking good now, so that is resolved.

As for the floating plants, the photo shows Frogbit.  I have the same issue with mine, which I had thought was because I have the temperate species, not the tropical, and I know this because mine flowered once and the flowers of the three species are different.  You may have the temperate species too.  Or this may be just getting settled; mine took a few weeks.  I have had good growth in a couple tanks (I tried it in several when it was failing) but the leaves do yellow as yours are doing.  Give it a few weeks before giving up.

Byron.

Ok, will do thanks :) It was Tropica, is that the brand? And cost me 5 quid, so I hope it's the right stuff!

Tropica...the plants?  Or something else?

Hey Akasha, sorry to jump in on this thread but I have a question for you.

How do you rate the easylife profito? Is it a good allrounder on its own or do you rely on the easycarbo as well? The profito was recommended to me as something that would work well with nothing else required.

Tropica, the brand of aquarium plants you get in lfs :)

They are good plants.  I can get them in Canada, from some dealers.  They are not allowed in the USA due to strict horticultural import regulations, because they come in pots I believe.

Sorry, missed this. I use both easycarbo and profito. I've actually taken the weekly recommended dose of profito and divided it by 7 and add it at the same time as the carbo in a smaller dose. It means I don't forget to add it and I've found that my plants are healthier and are growing like crazy now. My swords are floating on the water surface now
