I keep seeing this one rope fish in the LFS and I think it is awesome. I must have one.

But since I have become far more educated about the process of getting a fish I will ask the questions before I seriously look into getting one.

Are they aggressive?
What do they eat?
I can only assume a 125g tank is big enough?
Anything else? Do they need hiding spaces?

I have 4 barbs and an angle fish in the tank now, just getting it set up.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!!!

the rope fish is agressive and it mite eat the barbs and the tank is big enough also they like to b kept in groups

Ropefish will eat any fish that will fit in its mouth, but in my experince they are'nt too aggressive. I hav'nt had one that would go after other fish b/c of territiorial reasons. You can feed them anything from flakes to live/frozen food. My only word of caution is to make sure that you have no escape hole in your hood; the rope fish will get out.

I have another question about the rope fish. Pending this questions answer I am probably going to go get a few...

Do they bite?

Thanks!!!
