Rock Selections

I currently have the red looking lava rocks but I want to change to a more colouful rock setup any suggestions are the coral rocks ok in a fresh water tank I like the look of the white rocks. What are they like?

They are called base rock, and I wouldnt use them in a new world tank. The calcium in the rock will rocket the pH up to about 8.2.

It depends what you are keeping really, if you have a South American tank, then you wouldn't want to use the the ocean rock, but if you have a Central American set up, then the buffering qualities of ocean rock can help keep the PH nice and stable.
