anyone using RO water ?

I've got the new 75gpd unit installed, which is working great and I'm filling a 25 gallon domestic water tank with it.

The tank has a heater in, to keep it at 25C ready for water changes. It's also got a submersible pump for filling the fish tank. I mix it with some tap water to raise the water hardness.

Anyway... I know the RO water strips out the O2 and the water is not moving inside the 25 gallon tank. Do I need to add an internal power head to seep the water circulating and/or have an air stone in there ?

Thanks

Thanks for that. I'm going to put a power head with venturi in I think.

Water will always become stale if it has no circulation or air driven into it, RO water has nothing to keep it from harm so using a power head and air will keep it fresh before introducing it into your tank

It all depends how you are using it... if your doing a 20% water change then dont worry ;)

if you are startig a tank from scratch with it you will need to add elements back in to it to give it the chemistry you want.

we use RO to lower the conductivity in out plec breeding tanks... we use the water cold too again - with a 20% change there is nothing to worry about as the temp will only drop a few degrees max.
