hi...i am a fish farmer in pakistan, rearing many species of freshwater fish including Labeo rohit, White Amur, Common Carp, Mrigal Carp, tilapia etc. Recently after heavy rains in my area, river water has been flowing into my ponds and causing all sorts of harm to the fish. unusual thing that i have noticed is that only tilapia is suffering from this problem and i already have lost over 700 tilapia in 1 week. can anyone please guide me as to what measures should i take to reduce this loss? and what might be the cause of this?

maybe whats killing them is the pollution from the river water.. not to sure how to help you out there.. if you can, try cleaning the water, or switching the water out and replacing it with rain water.. water changes.. testing it and to see if its at the proper stats.
sorry i couldn't be a huge help, but i'm sure someone will come and give you better advice then me.

I agree. Test your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

Do the fish show any symptoms.
Darting, gasping at surface, erratic swimming, etc.
