Ahh, he will be pleased, he loves those clowns, he would have hated having to find them a new home :good:

When you get the tank, you might consider taking out the old sand and putting a new sand bed in.

you think that would be a good idea then ? what sort of sand do u think i sholud use and how much will it need , will it not affect the tank levels ? as ill be stickin everything back in soon as i get it home

Thanks tony

Well, my suggestion to you would be:

Get yourself a plastic storage box, add salted ro water, stick in a heater and powerhead (do this the night before going to Nicks) - put the live rock and clowns in there.

Then, remove all the sand, give the tank a nice clean, sift the sand to ensure you remove the snails - dont use your fingers

Put in nice new salted ro water, heat, bung powerhead in.
Put rock in, leave fish in box
Play with rock
Add sand
leave to settle
add fish etc

Bingo............

oh and nearly forgot.take photos of every step of the way :good: including those stairs :p

how big a box ? i have seen ones with lids that snap on and is this for when i get them home or to take with me ?and what about the others urchin and crab

what should i use to clean inside of tank it has got alot of colaline i think its called on 1 side and back wall, so reuse the old sand still but get rid of snails?

I would transport live rock in there from Nicks - ask Mark at Pets at home if you could buy a couple of bags for the clowns. the urchin and crabs are fien with the rock

You dont need to clean off the coraline, unless you want to - vinagar will get it off, but I like coraline on the walls so would leave it :good: No, no, no, keep snails, bin sand

Probably not - lets wait and see

Yes, i too like that sand, dont buy the live stuff though, its a rip off :good: one bag should be enough.

Yes, all new water - tell the chaps at Pets at home when you want to collect it and they will have it all salted and ready for you :good: Nick used to get his water from there I think.

Also give the powerheads a nice scrub

Seffie x

ps for the coraline on the sides you will need a blade - kent sea ones are good

i did see about the live sand not being worth it so i will get some new sand this week :)

is it not worth usein any of the old water then ? will everything be ok with all fresh water , i did ask nick and he said he got his water from PAH so will try and get some water containers and order from there sure he said mark and someone else

give the powerheads a nice scrub

i will do they looked like they needed clean up but may change one as he got a Koralia on back wall facing to surface and what looks like a normal powerhead sort of hangin in tank flowin behind LR so may change that 1 for a Koralia at somepoint
