Hi around 2 months ago i put some river fish in this pond witch I'm trying to make a river/creek pond but I'm still getting river plants to try and get some stuff from the river. Any way we haven't found any of the fish so we though they were dead and got 9 white clouds to put in the pond. Amazingly i saw the river fish schooling with the white clouds witch i didn't think they would do. There is about 10 river fish that are about 1cm long schooling with the 9 white clouds.

Do you have any idea what sort of fish are your river fish? Where abouts do you live in the world/what sort of climate do you have?

They are river fish as thats where i got them. I live in South Australia in Murray Bridge. My dad thinks they are carp or callop not sure as they are too young.

If you can get some pics of them and post them here we might be able to help you get an accurate ID on them  .

Generally speaking though, it is not a good idea to take fish from the wild if you do not know exactly what they are, a lot of wild fish are protected by the law and of course if you do not know exactly what fish you have you cannot be sure how to look after it properly or how big its gonna grow to etc.

murray bridge? as in the murray river?

fishbase only state thre fish for the murray river,
either their databse is somewhat lacking or you have very few species in there.

anyways here's the three
Cyprinus carpio carpio Common carp Cyprinidae benthopelagic 147 TL 3.0 introduced
Maccullochella peelii peelii Murray cod Percichthyidae demersal 220 TL 4.2 native
Perca fluviatilis European perch Percidae demersal 51 TL 4.3 introduced

The town is called Murray Bridge the murray river goes through Murray bridge. I will try and get some photos but quiet hard because there so fast.
