After an attempted spawn yesterday, I was unsure if they spawned or not, so I removed her from the breeding tank as the male was quite aggressive.
I put her back in her home tank and pampered her with brine shrimp - her favourite
I turned the lights off and went to sleep. This morning when I was checking up on her, I saw her tail poking out of the driftwood.
I thought she was just resting, but when she didn't move, or come up for air, I knew something bad has happened.
My poor baby tried to swim through the gap in the driftwood, but got stuck. She couldn't have come up for air, so she passed away.
She was a gorgeous Betta, my first female actually.. I am so sad, but hopefully in a few days I will have baby Betta's hanging out the bubble nest, and she will live on through her babies
RIP Sapphire
