RIP Lil, and the girlies...

I am sad to announce USPS lost the package that Synirr had sent me, including my Lil, and 4 baby girls from the Mini Spawn.
After 1 week of waiting, they found the package and it arrived this morning.
I have 2 little girls that survived.
Lil' & 2 other girls were dead.

You are very lucky to have at least 2 make it. You were probably fearing the worst.

while this is tragic event, it is also testament to the staying power of bettas. those are some sturdy little fish to have survived that experience.

Actually, I've been in contact with Kara and knew about it the moment she did. It's heartbreaking, but these things just happen sometimes. The two girls who survived must be real troopers is all I can say.

Hope Kara and Snyirr don't mind me answering OA's question.

Lil was lent to Snyirr by Kara a few months ago for breeding purposes. Originally it was thought that Lil was a girl and Mini(the intended spawn partner) was a boy. It was subsequently discovered that Lil was the boy and Mini was the girl. The spawn attempt was unsuccessful, so Snyirr used the beautiful copper plakat instead.

There is a thread about it somewhere. Quite an interesting read really.
