My boy Rio, who I've had for about a month, has been fine up until now. He has always been a bit shy and inactive but now he's really got me worried.
He's clamped his fins and is hiding behind his ornament. He is breathing heavily. Still upright but the little fleshy bit under the gill cover is moving really fast. He has no other signs of disease.
My pH is 7.0 and I did a water change a day ago so ammonia couldn't be the problem. I'm going to do a water change just in case though, when I finish posting this.
What do you think is wrong with my little Rio?
EDIT: I have now done a 50% water change and lowered the water level. Now that I can see him better, I see Rio's tummy is bloated. It looks like constipation. There was no waste when I did the water change...
