My ex-partners mother, (note the ex), has I believe lost the pump and heater to go with my Rio 180. She is of course denying all knowledge but seeing as the tank has not left her garage for 6 months I can't se where else it could have gone!! 
Anyway enough of family squabbles!!!
Not really wanting to go the expense of replacements I have a spare Fluval 2 and a spare Fluval 3 filter. If I were to install these in the Rio 180 along with a new heater do you thin that wuld be enough filtration in the tank?? I am guessing with 1 rated @ 90 litre and the other @ 130 litre this should be more than enough to filter the 180 litre Rio, knowing full well that final fill will not be the 180 litre described after displacement.
Still makes me about £10.00 out of pocket, no wonder I split with the ex, always costing me money!!!!
