sounds good. thinking off redoing my 15 gallon( 60L ) aquarium.
was thinking off some cherry shrimp and some neon tetras. should look really coulorful and bright

not with neons, neons like the cooler end of the temperature range...24oC and not much higher, where as rams NEED to be kept at 28oC or they will deteriorate FAST!

the high temperature keeps there metabolisms from slowing down, and their immune system in check. rams constantly produce pathogens and the immune system combats these, if the immune system becomes weak, the pathogens take hold and will disease the fish.

cardinal tetras, schwarzi corydoras, schultzie cories, sterbai cories. anything that will live happily at higher temps

is there any specific plants they like or can any live plants be ok and do i need a cave for the pair to breed?

Well I've added more plants, I think this is it for a while as I'm happy with the levels, just need to get the existing stuff growing now.

Now also using TPN+ and EasyCarbo and have added a reflector to the light.

i think it would look abit better with a black backround. like the one youve got just giving you ideas as i think the plants would stand out more.

Another update. Couple more plants to the right and I had to re-do the Monoselenium and Riccia as the thread I used disintegrated and it went all over!

Some more piccies! Another filter is been added tomorrow (external) to work in tandem with the internal so that should provide backup as well as plenty extra filtration and movement.
