I have MTS fever again....I just can't say no to a tank deal. Especially when its free!

I will be picking this up from a guy who sadly has to give it up because he is moving back to Australia

As you can see it is really nicely planted and stocked with fish.

I need to know the best way to transport this?
It's a 30 minute drive.
I am hoping to just drain 1/2, and very carefully drive home.
Or, should we break it all down and bag the fish?

It's always best to drain as much water as possible and save it. With that being an eclipse I would personally drain it at least 3/4 of the way. For thirty minutes, unless the tank is heavily stocked, the fish should be ok.

Thanks rev.

I will probably re-home the fish. He has 5 dwarf neon rainbows, a bn cat, and a slap tail cat. I don't know what a slap tail cat is, but if I'm not mistaken all need a bigger tank.

Jim the owner of one of my lfs will probably take them on.
I'm into nano's at the moment.

I really just want the tank, plants, upgraded lighting and cascade500. Plus all the other extras he's throwing in.

Still in absolute shock that this fell into my lap.

Looks like you fell into an awesome deal. The rainbows will be ok if its the 12 gallon. Bn might be ok, never heard of a slap tail cat, so can't help you there. Good luck with it though.
