Rice fish breeders/sellers uk ?

Hi ,

Can anyone recommend anyone who breeds/sell Rice fish in the UK ? I know the trop co sell them but I would perfect to find someone who specifically breeds them as ideally I would like some eggs and adults so I can grow the eggs out .

Which species of rice fish? I've seen Oryzias javanicus and O. latipes in Maidenhead Aquatics and a local shop ordered O. woworae for me so there are some species available locally.

Did you by you daisy’s from Maidenhead ? I would like some daisy’s . But also some with orange colours too .

I didn't get my woworae from Maidenhead, but they are in Maidenhead's database so presumably they can order them in.

A shop called Aquatic Finatic between Thirsk and Northallerton. They've been my go-to shop for a while.

A polish sounding lad was selling Medaka by the dozen last year on eBay from north London. He’d been the only seller on there for a while.
I was going to buy some but times weren’t right.
Then he sold them all in one batch as he “was going back to Poland.“ A few weeks later there were a few new sellers on eBay selling the same coloured varieties the Polish lad had been. I’m not sure if it was him or people who’d bought his stock.
So errrrh try eBay.

Henlow, near to Hitchin, Hertfordshire. I wish I could remember which type they were - I think they began with an “M”.
Might be worth emailing the shop? Good luck!

They would be medakas, Oryzias latipes. These like it cooler than other Oryzias species.
