Hi All,

Im having a little trouble with my riccia, wondering if anyone has any ideas? Think it might be a lack of iron. Current dosing is, 1.5ppm PO4 and 10ppm NO3 every other day, 0.5ml trace daily.

I was running trace at half rate due to the problems with my shrimp which seem to be better now, so think I might need to up it to 1ml daily, which would be 2ml every other day as per EI.

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

Has it been fine until now?
Whats actually wrong with it? The white tips?

 sorry probably should have said that originally! Yeh the whiteness of it. It was very lush and green to start with but has started to get a bleached white appearance, especially the ends and is not pearling anything like it used to.

Worth checking the CO2. Also the light intensity might have dropped and new tubes may be in order. Just a thought.

Im no plant expert, but having worked with George for the past year, I now know more than most! (whether I want to or not)

I would say a possible lack of iron.

just a thought

Cheers guys, checked the CO2 yesterday, and its ok, thinking lack of trace, most likely iron, back to normal dosing now and will see what happens.

Voo its dam thread algae, but I think my shrimp have finally decided they like the taste of it, so hopefully its on the way out, but who knows with this tank!

Cheers Sean, I think I need it!
